Physical Education
In physical education pupils will have the opportunity to:
- Master basic movements including running, jumping, throwing and catching, as well as developing balance, agility and co-ordination, and begin to apply these in a range of activities
- Participate in team games, developing simple tactics for attacking and defending
- Perform dances using simple movement patterns
Pupils will be able to develop their skills as athletes by:
- Understanding the importance of a healthy lifestyle
- Taking part in a range of sports and learn how to use different equipment
- Practising skills such as throwing, catching, running…
- Using their body to balance, stretch, move in different ways
- Evaluating and improving their performance
- Being physically active and increasing their stamina
- Working as part of a team
